THE FLAWS IN OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM:

admin June 18, 2016 Article

95% literacy is important, but do you know what is more important than literacy, numeracy, exam results, and A*s?

Nowadays, we are building robots rather than students. We teach how to work better to get a 9 to 6 job and impart creativity.

In the technology race, we are so lost that we have blurred our focus.

So what is the fundamental of anything that should be the major goal of a school or any learning institution? When I try to broaden my mental horizon and think beyond the book’s black lines, that’s where it strikes me. The thing we lack in our education system is the basic values or, to be more specific, the basis on which a human being can be differentiated from other living things on the planet.

What exactly are those characteristics?

Well, it’s the characteristics like sympathy, tolerance, diversity, equality, honesty, devotion, responsibility, punctuality, and many more.

These are the handful of values we need to teach the students to make their lives much easier and society a little more bearable and stress-free. These are very important values and the most needed ones in the era of technology in order to regain our lost focus and an effort to change our lives and be more human and fewer robots.

Moreover, this needs to be implemented in our homes and, on a larger scale, in schools, colleges, and universities. And if we fail to achieve this, robots will soon take our place.
